Dream When You're Feeling Blue

Written By: Elizabeth Berg

Outstanding, easily two thumbs way UP! Wish I had a few more thumbs to truly show how much I loved this book.

Berg writes from the perspective of Kitty Heaney, one of 3 sisters in Chicago during WWII. Through this story we get to see a different point of view of the war, the home front and what the girls back home were dealing with. From going to dances and writing letters to soldiers the met at the dances, from sending off the men they love, or think they love....and to losing so many things as they mature.

Just as I thought I figured out how the book would end a new twist would come into play and I was left holding tight to the book and not wanting to put it down (very hard when I should be working on my NaNoWriMo novel).

Superb book, definitely worth reading and I think I could see myself reading more of Berg's books in the future, this one coming in 2008 The Day I Ate Everything I Wanted does sound intriguing.
